Denzel Curry is an American Rapper whose passion for music began at an early age. Curry published his first single “Threatz” in 2013 and his first album “32 Zel” in 2015. Curry has featured in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack as well as in the hit show Arcane League of Legends soundtrack. Curry has been open with his love for nerdy media and it is very much appreciated by fans.
Curry’s most recent album “ Melt My Eyez See Your Future” was released on March 25, 2022 with Loma Vista Recordings. “ Melt My Eyez See Your Future” consists of 14 songs reflecting the road to emotional honesty. Artists featured on the album include Rico Nasty, T-Pain, Slow Thai, 454, Karriem Riggens,6LACK, JID, Jasiah, Kitty Ca$h, Powers Pleasant, Saul Williams, Bridget Perez, Buzzy Lee, and Robert Glasper. The most popular song on the album since the release is currently “Walkin”, the lyrics in the song blend beautifully with the beats and sound bits to present Curry’s message. The song “Worst come to worst” is reflective of the pandemic struggle. The lyrics of “Angelz” easily make it my favorite from the album.
Denzel Curry referred to “ Melt My Eyez See Your Eyez” as his best album and as his green lightsaber moment and the statement tracks. I loved the album and will be following Curry’s music from now on! Curry will be touring the U. S. throughout the summer so keep an eye out for his Texas concert venues.
