Musk: New Tesla plant near Austin may hire 10,000

Tesla CEO Elon Musk says the new Tesla plant under construction near Austin will hire more than ten-thousand employees through next year. 

If that happens, it’ll be twice the number of new jobs Tesla promised.

The billion-dollar manufacturing plant in southeast Travis County is scheduled to start making new vehicles as soon as this year. 

The company plans to produce its Cybertruck, Semi, Model 3 compact sedan, and Model Y vehicles at the site.
