The Orielles are a 3-piece rock group hailing from Hailfax, United Kingdom. For the past few years, the group has been consistently pushing out amazing space-rock from their home across the pond. With the arrival of the pandemic, however, the group has pushed their creativity and talents to an entirely new level. La Vita Olistica accompanies a film of the same name, with both projects being psychedelic and transcendental pieces of work.
The album alone is an amazing soundtrack to the hazy spring days that are upon us. Mostly comprising of a rework of previous songs, the project still manages to remain fresh and interesting throughout. “Come Down On Jupiter”, the first reworked track of the album, sets the hazy, warm tone that is developed through the rest of the record.
The album blends seamlessly together, creating a psychedelic and 60s-inspired 32 minutes. The Orielles have managed to bring a new flare to all of the tracks on the record, despite them being visitations of old projects. Paired with the beautifully crafted visuals of the accompanying film, La Vita Olistica is a must-watch/must-listen project for this Spring.
