Deadliest COVID week yet in Dallas County

Dallas County is coming off its deadliest week in the months-long coronavirus pandemic. 

Eight new deaths were reported yesterday. 

Dallas County has reported 142,972 confirmed cases and 15,364 probable cases, and 1,323 deaths. (Source: 5 NBCDFW)

County Judge Clay Jenkins tweeted about the imminent vaccine arrival and added folks should wear a mask, which can act as a vaccine. 

The new deaths came in addition to just over 21-hundred new infections that were reported. 

The Texas Department of State Health Services has reported an estimated 127,768 recoveries for Dallas County as of Saturday, Dec. 12.
