Texans can soon start using food stamps for online groceries

Texans on food stamps will soon be able to use them to buy groceries online and have them delivered. 

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission says the program is expected to start May 18th.

A spokeswoman for the agency says they’re still waiting for word on whether the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program can be used at restaurants. 

She says so far the program can only be used with Amazon and Walmart.
