A Lubbock man is under arrest in connection with the death of a small child inside a backpack.
Trevor Rowe was charged with capital murder yesterday.
Rowe is accused of putting ten-month-old Marion Jester Montoya into a backpack inside his vehicle and leaving her there on Tuesday.
Police say Rowe, who was dating the mother of the child, was caring for her when he left her in the backpack inside his vehicle and went to work.
He later transfered her in the backpack to the trunk of the vehicle.
At the end of his shift when he found she was not breathing he called 9-1-1. He was later arrested.
