The family of the sailor behind a deadly shooting at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard earlier this month are saying the action was unlike him.
Military officials say 22-year-old Gabriel Romero killed two people and wounded a third before fatally shooting himself.
Romero was buried in a private ceremony in San Antonio on Monday, and his family issued a statement afterwards saying they were shocked by the incident.
Romero was having disciplinary problems at the time of the shooting, but Navy officials still haven’t figured out a motive.
