Senator Ted Cruz plans on being impartial during the expected Senate trial in the impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.
The Texas Republican told ABC’s This Week he intends to fully follow the impeachment oath.
Cruz said “this remains a political process,” adding the framers of the Constitution “knew what they were doing.”
The full House is expected to vote Wednesday on two articles of impeachment against Trump.
