Researchers at Texas State University are studying the impact of social media on the user.
The project involving researchers from the Psychology and Communications departments say the results of their study so far reveal that the phenomenon in humans known as Generalized Anxiety Disorder can be triggered by two social media user behaviors.
The behaviors are making comparisons of one’s self to others on social media who appear to be doing well and making posts on social media while under the influence of alcohol.
More than 13-hundred adults participated in the study published online at Spotlight-On-Research-dot-com.
