New England has placed their veteran receiver Josh Gordon on their injured reserve list yesterday. The Patriots are planning to release him at the end of this season.
Gordon had been Tom Brady’s close number 2 receiver right under Julian Edelman every week. The ex-Brown had 20 catches for 287 yards on the season. He had been playing the whole season through a left knee injury but after the win against the New York Giants, he reinjured his knee while trying to make a tackle off of a fumble.
With Gordon’s injury, the Patriots made a good move by trading for Mohamed Sanu. Also on November 3rd, first-round draft pick, N’Keal Harry will be off the injured reserve to play against the deadly Baltimore Ravens.
Josh Gordon will end the season with the Patriots but will be an unrestricted free agent next season.
