Patrick Mahomes got a ‘best-case scenario’ after MRI

After reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes had to leave the game last night from an apparent knee injury, he got an MRI done today with some good news.

The MRI done today showed no damage except a dislocated right kneecap sources told Adam Schefter. Before the news today, other reports said that Mahomes could miss possibly three games.

In an interview today, head coach for the Chiefs, Andy Reid said “I just know what I know: The kid had the MRI, and we don’t have all the information. That is what I can give you. I am trying to tell you what is real. Once I get all the information, we will give you everything that kind of happened and what’s going on here … the whole deal. We don’t hide that.”

Now backup Matt Moore will be the leader of the high powered Chiefs offense. Coach Reid commented on Moore this morning saying “He is a pro and has done a nice job. Hard to be a relief pitcher. He has done it before. There’s a certain way to prep for that. He understands that. It paid off for him.”
