Monday Night Football: Lions vs Packers

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will host Matthew Stafford and the Lions tonight at 7:15 PM.

The Lions have had a bye week to plan against the 4-1 Packers. The last game they played was against the Chiefs, where the Lions showed that they are a force to be reckoned with. Stafford threw 3 touchdowns in the close 34-30 loss while Kerryon Johnson had 26 carries for 125 yards. Ultimately, the Lion’s defense couldn’t hold Patrick Mahomes as thew drove down the field and Darrel Williams ran in a touchdown with 20 seconds left.

Green Bay is coming off a solid win over the Cowboys last week 34-24. Aaron Rodgers didn’t throw a touchdown mostly because Aaron Jones was a monster with the ball. He ended up having 4 rushing touchdowns, 107 rushing yards, and 75 receiving yards. The Packers led the Cowboys 17-0 at the half and seemed to tease them with a chance of coming back in the second half. But one of the best defenses in the league caused 3 interceptions from Prescott and held Dallas from making a comeback.

ESPN has Green Bay winning tonight, but don’t expect any blowout. The Lions held their ground against Patty and the Chiefs, so Stafford won’t fold over against the Packers tonight. Also, Detroit remembers how Rodgers beat them with a hail mary in their last matchup and will not be looking to be on Rodger’s highlight reel again.

You can watch the showdown tonight at 7:15 PM on ESPN.
