Jimmy Butler’s first game in a Heat jersey will be in a couple more games.
On Wednesday night, Butler’s girlfriend gave birth to their first child. Head Coach Erik Spoelstra gave Butler a pass to not travel with the team to play the Bucks on Saturday and the Timberwolves on Sunday.
Spoelstra said “Jimmy Butler is now a proud father to a baby daughter. We’re thrilled for him, and we’re really excited.”
Although Jimmy B missed the Heat’s home opener this Wednesday, he still showed up to the morning game-day shootaround but told the team he had matters to attend to around midafternoon.
