Demaryius Thomas said his time with the Patriots was ‘a waste of time’

Current New York Jet and ex-New England Patriot receiver, Demaryius Thomas said that his short time with the Pats was a waste of time.

Thomas recently became a Jet after being traded to the team from the Patriots just about a month ago. It was a confusing move since the two-division rivals rarely make trades with each other and the Pats even signed and then dropped Antonio Brown just two weeks later.

Thomas said “It was insulting, for sure. Once I got cut, I could have just come here [to the Jets] and not stayed there and re-sign. When they re-signed me, I was thinking that I was good. Two weeks later, I was gone. So it’s like, ‘Why did I waste my time?’ Because at the end of the day, it was kind of a waste of time for me.”

The four-time Pro Bowler selection had been facing a hamstring injury but is now healthy for New York and helped the Jets beat the Cowboys last week 24-22.
