20 years in Prison for Teenage Terrorist Recruiter

An Arlington teenager will serve a 20-year prison sentence for trying to recruit a fellow American into a Pakistani terrorist group.

Federal prosecutors say 18-year-old Michael Sewell contacted an unidentified U.S. citizen about joining a terror group called Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Sewell was arrested in February after he messaged two undercover federal agents posing as terrorists.

He pleaded guilty in May to a charge of conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization.
