One person is dead after a fire at 117 E. Stanford St. in the northern part of Lubbock. Authorities on the scene are asking members of the public to stay away from the area. This is currently categorized as a two-alarm fire.
Authorities were called to the scene after 7 a.m. on Monday after the fire was reported. Neighbors from around the house report two explosions were heard from the house. The house is a total loss.
There are currently no reports of any other injuries or people involved. The identity of the person who died has not been released yet.
