Texas Congressional Delegation Undergoing Changes

Washington, DC  —  The Texas delegation in Congress is undergoing changes in recent years.

Since President Trump’s inauguration, seven Texas representatives, mostly Republicans, decided not to run for re-election, and another resigned.

The GOP lost control of the House in this month’s elections, with Texans electing seven more Democrats.  Some political analysts say the Texas delegation may see more retirements between now and 2020.

They say that tends to happen with the party out of power whenever the majority in the House changes hands.
