Two Texas University Chancellors Among Nation’s Highest Paid

(Austin, TX) — A new study says the chancellors of the two largest university systems in Texas were among the highest-paid public university leaders last year.

The Chronicle of Higher Education says Bill McRaven, former chancellor of the UT System, and John Sharp, chancellor of the Texas A&M University System, were third and fifth in the top five.

Other highly paid Texans on the list include Michael Young, president of A&M; Renu Khator, chancellor at U of H; and Lee Jackson, former chancellor of the University of North Texas System.
