(Dallas, TX) — A Dallas woman will be spending a couple of weeks in a Florida jail for molesting mollusks.
Diana Fiscal-Gonzalez pleaded no contest earlier this month to removing 40 queen conchs from the waters of Key West last summer.
She intended to clean them up and give them as gifts.
Problem is, conchs are protected by the state, and it’s against the law to take them.
A Florida Fish and Wildlife officer arrested Fiscal-Gonzalez soon afterward.
