(Fort Lauderdale, FL) — Florida prosecutors will push for the death penalty against accused high school gunman Nikolas Cruz. The former student is charged with killing 17 people in a mass shooting at Parkland High School last month.
The Broward County state attorney filed notice today that his office intends to seek the death penalty in the case. On Monday, a Florida judge ordered the release of video from the Parkland school shooting. The video was captured on the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School surveillance camera system.
