Lake Austin is infested by zebra mussels. Texas Park and Wildlife officials announced today the invasive mussels have a definite presence in the lake, less than a year after they were discovered in nearby Lake Travis. TPWD says people need to clear, drain, and dry their watercraft and gear to make sure zebra mussels don’t spread.
