Convicted Killer Expected to Appeal Life Sentence

A convicted killer is expected to appeal his life sentence.  The attorney for Celvin Brooks tells the “Houston Chronicle” his client doesn’t deserve the sentence because he was 17 when he helped kill three people in a 2015 robbery.  The attorney says it isn’t fair to Brooks’ family because they’ll have to wait 40 years before he’s up for parole.  Brooks was convicted of capital murder earlier this week.
