Wildfires Rage Though Southern California

(San Diego, CA) — Wildfires raging across Southern California have burned nearly 160-thousand acres. The biggest is the Thomas Fire which has burned over 143-thousand acres and destroyed or damaged over 400 homes in parts of Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. It’s just ten percent contained. Meanwhile, a fast-moving brush fire forcing thousands of evacuations north of San Diego is at zero containment. The Lilac Fire has burned over four-thousand acres near Fallbrook and has destroyed at least 20 structures so far.
