(Washington, DC) — President Trump says Senator John McCain will return to Washington DC if his vote is needed on a big tax cut bill. Trump said he spoke with McCain’s wife, Cindy, and wished her and the senator well. The 81-year-old, who is battling brain cancer, headed back to Arizona today to spend the holidays with his family. He’s expected to miss the tax vote, but Republicans believe they still have the votes to pass it. Trump also said there’s no doubt that McCain’s going through a very tough time.
