Trump: Government Shutdown Could Happen

(Washington, DC) — President Trump says a government shutdown could happen at the end of the week. In a White House photo-op today, Trump tried to put the burden on Democrats and again accused them of being weak on immigration control and crime. He said Democrats want to see illegal immigrants flowing into the U.S. The government runs out of money at week’s end.  Congressional leaders are trying to craft a deal to extend spending for two weeks, allowing more time for negotiations on a long-term agreement.
