(Jackson, MS) — President Trump is honoring the sacrifices of the heroes of the civil rights movement. Attending the opening of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum today, the President said they helped create a future that is more just and more free. Not everyone was thrilled with the President’s appearance. Two prominent African American lawmakers boycotted the event. House Democrats John Lewis and Bennie Thompson called Trump’s appearance an insult to people who are honored in the museum.
