Target Boosting Same-Day Delivery Capabilities

Target

(Minneapolis, MN) — Target is planning to boost its capabilities for same-day delivery. The retailer is purchasing delivery service “Shipt” for 550-million-dollars. Shipt is an internet-based grocery delivery service where members pay 99-dollars a year for it. The deal will let Target customers order groceries and other products online, then have their purchases delivered to their homes from nearby stores. It’s Target’s latest move in its competition with Amazon.
