General Jeff Sessions

(Washington, DC)  —  Attorney General Jeff Sessions is being pressed on calls for a second special counsel.  Some congressional Republicans are demanding an independent investigation into the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email case.  Speaking at the Justice Department today, Sessions said requests by lawmakers are always taken seriously.  He argued that the Justice Department is cooperating fully with Congress on a number of issues and will not duck tough questions.  Special Counsel Robert Mueller was appointed to investigate Russian meddling in the presidential election.
