Doug Jones Calls For A Time Of Healing In Alabama

(Birmingham, AL)  —  Doug Jones says he received a very gracious phone call from President Trump congratulating him on his victory in Alabama’s special Senate election.  Democrat Jones edged Republican Roy Moore in a hotly-contested election.  During a briefing in Birmingham today, Jones said he has not spoken with Moore.  The former judge has not conceded the close election and is looking into a possible recount.  Moore could not shake off past allegations of sexual misconduct.
