(Washington, DC) — Congress is avoiding a partial government shutdown with the passage of a stop-gap spending bill. The measure to extending federal funding until December 22nd easily cleared the House and Senate yesterday. President Trump indicated he will sign the bill as leaders of both parties begin talks on a long-term spending agreement. Without the extension, the government would have run out of money at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday.
