(Washington, DC) — President Trump is applauding House Republicans for passing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act earlier today.
In a White House briefing, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders called the victory a big step toward fulfilling the administration’s promise to deliver “historic tax cuts for the American people by the end of the year.”
She said a simple, fair, and competitive tax code would be like “rocket fuel” for the economy.
The nearly one-point-five-trillion-dollar GOP overhaul of personal and business taxes faces an uncertain future in the Senate.
