Trump Urged Top Republicans To End Russia Probe

(Washington, DC) — A new report indicates President Trump is getting impatient with the continuing Russia probes. The “New York Times” reports that Trump urged top Republicans to end the Senate Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Committee chairman Senator Richard Burr told the “Times” that the President was hopeful to see the investigation end soon. Trump reportedly told Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Republican Senator Roy Blunt to end the investigation quickly. The Senate panel is one of several investigating claims that Russia colluded with the Trump campaign to influence the election. Russia has denied any meddling and Trump says there was no collusion, often labeling it as fake news.
