(Washington, DC) — Senator Rand Paul says a final medical report shows he suffered six broken ribs from an alleged assault by his neighbor.
The Kentucky Republican said a new X-ray also showed fluid around his lungs.
A previous report showed he had five broken ribs and lung contusions. Paul said he was attacked by his neighbor Rene Boucher at his Kentucky home last week.
Boucher is charged with fourth-degree assault. The attack may have stemmed from a dispute over landscaping.
