Navy ID’s Sailors Lost In Aircraft Crash

(Washington, DC)  —  The Navy says two sailors from Florida and another from Louisiana were killed when their transport plane went down in the western Pacific.

The Navy identified the three victims as Lieutenant Steven Combs, Airman Matthew Chialastri and Airman Apprentice Bryan Grosso, saying their families had been notified after extensive search and rescue efforts were called off.

The sailors were lost when their C-2 Greyhound crashed at sea Wednesday. Eight other crew members and passengers aboard the plane were rescued and reported to be in good condition.
