(Dallas, TX) — Etihad Airways of Abu Dhabi plans to discontinue flights to Dallas next March.
The airline announced Thursday that the flights are no longer profitable after American Airlines ended its codeshare deal with Etihad.
American Airlines decided in July that it would no longer share flights with Etihad and Qatar Airways.
The Fort Worth-based carrier made the move to push back against what it describes as unfair government subsidies to Middle East carriers.
Etihad has run daily flights to Dallas since 2014. Service to other U.S. cities is unaffected.
