(Washington, DC) — The TSA is reportedly failing to detect weapons going through screenings at a high rate.
That was the finding of a Department of Homeland Security probe. The chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security said the findings were disturbing.
Committee members were given details about the probe by the Department of Homeland Security in a classified briefing Wednesday. The TSA said in a statement that it takes the findings very seriously and is taking measures to improve screening effectiveness.
