(Montgomery, AL) — The communications director for Roy Moore’s senate campaign is resigning.
John Rogers confirmed his resignation to “Washingtonian Magazine” today, but declined to comment further.
The decision comes as Moore fights off numerous allegations of sexual misconduct and assault, including that he dated teenage girls when he was an assistant district attorney in his thirties.
Yesterday, President Trump backed the GOP Senate candidate saying he didn’t want to see his another liberal elected to the Senate. Moore will face Democrat Doug Jones in a December 12th special election for the seat vacated by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
