(Washington, DC) — President Trump will not certify the Iran nuclear deal. In a White House speech, the President argued that Iran is not living up to the spirit of the nuclear deal.
He said Iran is being run by a hostile, rogue regime and is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.
Trump insisted that Iran must never be allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon. The President is not pulling the U.S. out of the international accord at this time. He is asking Congress to add new conditions to the deal, which was negotiated by the U.S. and other world powers in 2015.
