(Mount Wilson, CA) — Several helicopters are dropping water on flames raging near the top of Mount Wilson. The flying fire fight started around 4:30 this morning near the TV towers on the mountain.
The fire has charred around 26-acres, and is about five-percent contained. Officials say the observatory has been evacuated and the fire is not burning near foothill homes.
Northern California is still struggling to contain up to seventeen wild fires that are still raging in many regions including the famous “Wine Country”.
