(Houston, TX) — The price of gasoline is still falling slowly as the oil and gas industry recovers from damage caused by Hurricane Harvey.
The storm disrupted production by shutting down several coastal refineries in Texas, but the nation’s fuel inventories are growing again.
Houston-area gas prices are now $2.39 for a gallon of regular unleaded, down three cents from last week, but still about 29 cents higher than before Harvey.
The national average is down more than two cents in the past week to $2.53.
