(Bucks County, PA) — Ivanka Trump is pushing the Republican tax proposal in Pennsylvania today.
At an event in Bucks County, the first daughter and special adviser to the President advocated for the expansion of the child tax credit, to give working families a break.
Trump has been pushing for the expansion for weeks, working with the National Economic Council, and having members of Congress over to her Washington, DC home for dinner.
At the event, Trump said that the modern American family has changed drastically since the U.S. tax code was created, and American families deserve for it to be updated to account for those changes. She said the cost of raising children has increased significantly in recent years, noting that childcare is the single largest expense for many families.
