Boats Sunk From Hurricane Harvey Pulled From Water Near Rockport

(Rockport, TX)  —  Two months after Hurricane Harvey leveled Aransas County, recovery crews are still pulling sunken boats out of the water. Harvey wrecked boat storage buildings and sank 28 boats in the Cove, Rockport, and Fulton harbors. Some are fishing boats, while others are pleasure craft. The recovered boats are at a staging area at the Cove Harbor, where owners and insurance adjusters can look them over. Crews from the Aransas County Navigation District, the Coast Guard and the Texas General Land Office are participating in the recovery.
