(Houston, TX) — Houston’s METRO is developing new technology to warn people about oncoming trains. Yesterday afternoon, the agency showed off a new system that acts like a blue tooth transmitter and speaker. Every METRO train now has a Bluetooth beacon that when it gets in the range of an enabled speaker, warnings will sound for pedestrians.
