Two Police Officers Shot During Raid In Central Georgia

(Byron, GA)  —  Two police officers are hospitalized after being shot during an overnight drug raid in central Georgia.

Details are still coming in, but both officers are believed to be part of the Peach County Drug Task Force.

There’s been no word yet on their conditions.

Last month, two Peach County deputies were shot and killed in the line of duty.

Two more officers — one from the Americus Police Department, the other a Georgia Southwestern State University campus officer — were shot to death just last week.
