(Washington, DC) — Before becoming President of the United States, Donald Trump will have to sit down for a deposition in New York City.
A superior court judge ruled today the President-elect will have to appear for the deposition in a case involving a contract dispute with celebrity chef Jose Andres.
The deposition will take place the first week of January and may last up to seven hours.
Trump sued Andres for breach of contract after the chef canceled a plan to open a restaurant in Trump’s new hotel in Washington, DC.
Andres said he backed out of the deal after Trump made disparaging remarks about Mexicans during the campaign.
