Report: Bowl Games Pump Up Local Economies

(San Diego, CA)  —  College football bowl games are a boom to the economy each postseason.

That’s the finding in a report released today by San Diego State and George Washington universities.

The study shows that those 41 games pump up the economy to the tune of one-and-a-half-billion dollars each year.

Economic impact was defined as money that comes into a local economy that wouldn’t have otherwise.
