Gohmert has a habit of smoking ribs on the balcony of his office.
A Capitol official said it was a fire hazard and ordered Gohmert to stop.
Scalise and House Speaker Paul Ryan defended Gohmert and got the Capitol to back down.
Gohmert says cooking ribs is one of the few times he actually leaves a good taste in people’s mouths instead of a bitter one.
