(Dallas, TX) — Johnny Manziel is reaching a plea deal in his misdemeanor assault case in Dallas.
Prosecutors say the ex-Texas A&M and Cleveland Browns quarterback will see the charge dismissed in a year if he gets treatment or counseling.
Manziel was indicted earlier this year on claims he kidnapped and hit an ex-girlfriend during a fight in January.
A Dallas judge will have to approve the plea deal.
Manziel is also under investigation in Austin on claims he punched a bar employee in September.
