(Miami, FL) — A zone of active Zika transmission has been eliminated in Florida.
Governor Rick Scott said this morning that although the South Beach zone has been lifted, people should still remain vigilant about wearing insect repellant and getting rid of standing water.
There is only one zone left — a one-and-a-half square mile area of South Beach, but that’s expected to be lifted December 9th.
