Lawmakers Will File Cyberbullying Bill Today

(Austin, TX)  —  Today is the first day bills can be filed for the upcoming legislative session, and one measure being offered will be “David’s Law,” an answer to the recent uptick in cyberbullying.

State Senator José Menéndez and State Representative Ina Minjarez, both of San Antonio, will file the bill named for cyberbullying victim David Molak.

If approved, the bill would give schools the power to investigate off-campus bullying and create harsher punishments for offending students and their parents.
